We're building the operating layer for modern Asian healthcare.
Qmed Asia is a clinician-founded healthtech company. We design, build and run the connected platform that hospitals across Southeast Asia use to coordinate care from the front door, through the wards, into the AI layer, and out into the medical community.

Built for the region
Healthcare deserves better tools.
Qmed Asia started inside hospitals — by doctors, nurses and engineers who were tired of working around software instead of with it. Paper handovers, faxed guarantee letters, vital signs transcribed by hand, dashboards that never quite matched what was happening on the ward.
We didn't set out to ship another EMR. We set out to build the connected operating layer underneath everything else — one that integrates with the systems hospitals already have, respects the way Asian wards actually run, and makes the people inside the building faster, safer and saner.
Today, that work runs across four suites — Journey, Connect, AI and Engage — deployed in real hospitals, on real shifts, by people who don't have time for vapourware. We're still very much in early days, and we're building it in public, ward by ward.
Mission
Make every hospital safer, faster and saner — by connecting what already exists.
We unify front-door operations, in-patient wards, clinical AI and HCP engagement into one governed platform — so hospitals stop fighting their tools and start using them.
- Reduce documentation burden for clinicians
- Eliminate manual transcription at the bedside
- Make AI useful inside the actual workflow
- Connect hospitals to a stronger HCP community
Vision
The connected layer underneath modern Asian healthcare.
Where every patient's journey — from the first symptom check at home to follow-up after discharge — runs on one governed, integrated, clinician-shaped platform that respects how care actually happens in this region.
- One patient journey, one platform
- Hospital-grade governance, AI-native by default
- Built around Asian clinical workflows
- Open standards, no lock-in
Four values, every release.
These aren't poster-on-the-wall values. They're what we use to break ties when we have to choose between two good options.
Patient-first, always
Every product decision starts with one question — does this make care safer, faster or more dignified for the patient at the bedside?
Built by clinicians
Doctors, nurses and engineers in the same room. We design with the people who run the wards, not just for them.
Trust by default
Hospital-grade security, governed AI, and audit-ready by design. Trust is earned in production, not in a pitch deck.
Asia-built, Asia-ready
We build for how Asian hospitals — public and private, urban and rural — actually run, not what looks good on a Western EMR demo.
Two pillars. Two layers. One platform.
Out-Patient and In-Patient form the operational backbone. AI and Engage connect across both — making every interaction smarter and every relationship stickier.
The road so far
From clinic queues to national AI deployments — built one healthcare workflow at a time.
2019
Appointment and queue management launched
Started with digital appointment and queue workflows designed around how Malaysian clinics actually operate.
2020
Scaled across Klinik Kesihatan
Rolled out across 400+ Klinik Kesihatan, helping public clinics manage patient flow at national scale.
2021
Supported the national vaccination effort
Deployed across 40+ PPV national vaccination centres to support high-volume patient registration and operations.
2022
Pioneered self-registration kiosks
Introduced SRK-30 self-registration kiosks and rolled them out to 100 healthcare centres across Malaysia.
2023
Brought clinical AI into Malaysian workflows
Pioneered Qmed Copilot and Qmed Scribe, bringing AI clinical decision support and documentation tools into care settings.
2024
Pioneered Smart Ward integration
Launched Qmed CDIS, a vendor-neutral medical device integration solution for smarter, safer ward operations.
2025
National AI rollout with MOH Malaysia
Rolled out DR MATA and AskCPG nationwide together with the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
Clinicians, engineers and operators — same room, same fight.
We're a small team of practising clinicians, healthcare operators, software engineers and AI researchers — most of us have spent time inside hospitals, and we still do. Every product squad has at least one person who has worked a real shift in a real ward.
Hospital-grade by default
Every Qmed product ships with the same baseline — security, governance, auditability and clinician-in-the-loop AI. We don't ask you to trust us; we make it auditable.
- Hospital-grade security and ISO-aligned operating practices
- PDPA-aligned data handling, on-prem or private-cloud deployable
- Governed AI with audit logs, override and clinician review built-in
- HL7, FHIR and IEEE 11073 — open standards, no vendor lock-in
